Northside Community Development Corporation

Homebuyer Education

The Northside Community Development Corporation (NCDC), formerly known as the Rogers Park Community Development Corporation, provides informative and comprehensive education for future homebuyers throughout the region. NCDC classes include the 8-hour First Time Homebuyer class required by most lenders and government programs and the 2-hour Condo training which is designed to educate the growing condo market. NCDC also offers personal counseling on credit issues and mortgage readiness.

Foreclosure Prevention

NCDC provides counseling services and technical assistance to help homeowners who are on the verge or in default of their mortgage. NCDC can help clients review their mortgage, apply for a loan modification or the Illinois Hardest Hit fund, or explore other options.

Employer Assisted Housing

Through partnerships with regional employers NCDC works to counsel participating employees seeking to purchase homes, and guide them through the home purchase process to closing. NCDC currently provides Employer Assisted Housing services for the Chicago Board of Education, City Colleges of Chicago, Lablemaster, and Loyola University. Through these partnerships homebuyers may be eligible for thousands of dollars in assistance.
